Exterior
The new Renault Captur showcases a more athletic and premium exterior design with a one-piece logo embedded in a multi-faceted grille, complemented by a higher, more horizontal bonnet that creates dynamic light reflections. It features full LED technology in the front lights, which have a vertical half-diamond shape inspired by the brand's logo and a welcoming light sequence when unlocking the doors remotely. The rear end boasts transparent light housings, a redesigned logo, and diffuser for a contemporary look. The Captur offers three trim levels: evolution, with 17-inch alloy wheels and a matt black finish; techno, with 18-inch alloy wheels and High Gloss Black finish; and esprit Alpine, with Ice Black logos, 19-inch wheels, and specific aerodynamic enhancements. Available in six body colours, the Captur offers a two-tone colour scheme option on techno and standard on esprit Alpine.
Interior
The new Renault Captur features the OpenR Link multimedia system with Google built-in on the techno and esprit Alpine trims, accessed via a 10.4-inch vertical touchscreen offering a range of services and interactive content. OpenR Link is user-friendly and hyperconnected, compatible with Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® with wireless connectivity. Google services, such as Google Maps and Google Assistant, and various Google Play apps are accessible. The Captur includes up to 10.25-inch dashboard screens, USB-C sockets for front and rear passengers, and a wireless phone charger. The modern interior boasts new upholstery, including sustainable synthetic leather on the esprit Alpine trim, and offers generous rear knee room and 24.7 litres of storage. The boot capacity is among the best in its class, with a maximum volume of 616 litres, modular design, and a sliding rear bench seat.
Performance
The new Renault Captur offers modern, efficient powertrains suitable for various driving conditions, including city, motorway, and country roads. It provides two powertrain options: the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged TCe 90 with a six-speed manual gearbox, delivering CO2 emissions from 135 g/km and fuel economy up to 47.9 mpg, and the E-Tech full hybrid 145, which combines a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with two electric motors and a smart automatic dog clutch gearbox, achieving up to 60.1 mpg and CO2 emissions as low as 105 g/km. The hybrid system features a 36 kW e-motor and an 18 kW High-voltage Starter Generator powered by a 1.2 kWh battery, with a multi-mode gearbox that optimises operation through fourteen possible combinations of the combustion engine and electric motor. Additionally, the E-SAVE function maintains at least 40% battery charge for optimal performance during demanding driving conditions.
Safety
The new Renault Captur includes 18 advanced driving aids (ADAS) categorized into safety, driving, and parking. It features Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA), which alerts drivers when exceeding speed limits, and Safety Score and Safety Coach for added peace of mind. A new "My Safety Shield" button allows drivers to simultaneously activate or deactivate up to five ADAS settings with a single touch, customizing preferences such as activation levels and sound alerts via the multimedia screen.
